The data you’ll see below is updated as of June 30, when the latest fiscal quarter (which began on April 1) ended.

In the infographic below you can see exactly how many Nintendo Switch units have been shipped to retailers, alongside shipped units for software, and the same goes for Nintendo’s older portable, the 3DS.

The Switch console has now reached 61.44 million units shipped worldwide.

Perhaps even more interesting is the fact that during the quarter lifetime software shipments for the Nintendo Switch surpassed the lifetime total shipped for the 3DS.

According to the figures, the Switch has shipped 5.68 million units between April and June.

For the sake of comparison, Sony has shipped 1.9 million units in the last quarter, reaching a grand total of 112.2 million units as of June 30.

We also get the current outlook for the full fiscal year, which will end on March 31, 2021. Nintendo still predicts selling 19 million Switch units in the twelve-months period, which would bring the total to 74.77 units if that goal was achieved. This prediction has not changed since the previous report.

If you want to compare, you can check out the previous update that was released in May and was related to the fiscal quarter ended on March 31, 2020.
