As you’d expect from a survival game, Grounded is full of resources to collect and items to craft. Some can be found lying around almost the entire world, but others require a bit more intuition to get a hold of. One item that’s tough to get but very useful is Berry Leather. So that you can craft some vital tools to progress the story, here’s everything you need to know about how to get berry leather in Grounded.
Berry Leather is used in a few different crafting recipes but one, in particular, is the Tier 2 Hammer. The Insect Hammer tool is something you’ll want to get crafted as soon as you can.
How to Get Berry Leather in Grounded
As you’d expect from the name, Berry Leather is made from Berries, but it’s not a simple process.
First things first, you need to head to the Southeastern corner of the map and look for a huge bush with Berries hanging from it. You might have to climb a bit to cut them down with your axe or use a bow to knock them down.
Once they’ve fallen to the ground, bash them with your axe to turn them into Berry Chunks. Collect them and be on your way to somewhere safer – this area of the map might have huge spiders patrolling it.
You’ll then need to craft a Workbench somewhere. Placing some Sap in the Analyzer near the start of the game will unlock the Workbench recipe. You’ll need to collect four Sprigs, two Sap, and three Grass Planks to build it.
Then, interact with the Workbench and use three Berry Chunks to craft one piece of Berry Leather. You’ll then be able to use whatever you’ve crafted to make the tools you’re after.
