Modern Warfare‘s Season 4 Reloaded update adds a new contract type, a new sniper, and a few other things to Warzone. One of the new items is the Spotter Scope, which can be hugely helpful. So that you can make the best use of it, here’s everything you need to know about how to get the Spotter Scope in Warzone and what it does.
The Spotter Scope is a pair of binoculars basically. Once you have it, you can use it to scout out ahead of you. It looks very similar to a sniper scope, also having a thermal option and two different zoom levels. The best thing about it though is that it doesn’t flash to give your position away, as a sniper scope does.
Therefore, you can use it when far away to look at where enemies are without giving away your own position.
How to Get Spotter Scope in Warzone
The Spotter Scope takes the place of your tactical equipment item. On console, it’s used with L1/LB, as the likes of Flash and Gas grenades are. However, you cannot add it to a loadout and then pick it up mid-game. Your only option is to find it either in crates or simply on the ground throughout the map.
In our experience, it is pretty rare. In the five matches or so that we played, we only found it once, lying on the ground as you can see in the screenshot above. There’s no other way to get it, so keep searching and keep your fingers crossed that you stumble upon it.
As we said, once you’ve picked it up, just press L1 if you’re on PS4 to use it (LB on Xbox One or Q on PC).
