kubfu

Pokemon Sword & Sheild’s first DLC expansion brings with it a new type of fighting Pokemon called Kubfu. This fighting type packs a mighty punch, so it’s no surprise we’re noticing a lot of players wondering if they can create their own from a Ditto. So, can you breed Kubfu in Pokemon Isle of Armor? Here’s everything you need to know.

Can You Breed Kubfu in Pokemon Isle of Armor? Answered

Kubfu is a legendary Pokemon and as such it is not one that can be bred using a Ditto. That goes for its evolved form Urshifu, too. The only way players can obtain either of these Pokemon is by playing through the DLC’s storyline and meeting Mustard the Master Dojo.

Mustard will give players a Kubfu, and from there they are free to evolve it into either a Single Strike or Rapid Strike Urshifu. This is achieved by visiting either one of the DLC’s two towers, as we’ve explained in our dedicated guide on how to evolve Kubfu.

For those trainers who want multiple versions of Kufbu, they’ll have to rely on other trainers either online or locally to trade with.

It’s also worth reminding ourselves that given Kubfu cannot be bred from a Ditto, it’s shiny Pokemon. That means you won’t have the option of scoring a shiny version for your collection unless one is added to the game later down the line (which has occurred before).

That should be everything you need to know about whether Kubfu can be bred in Pokemon Isle of Armor. For more information about the expansion and Sword & Shield, Twinfinite’s dedicated wiki page has you covered.
