Xbox One Game – Tekken 7
Xbox Games with Gold Predictions
As July 2020 inches closer, owners of Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles will be expecting an announcement from Microsoft to learn what free games they will be getting through Games with Gold. Before that announcement, we have some Games with Gold predictions for what those free games might be.
There is almost always one Xbox One and one Xbox 360 game included on Games with Gold, and for July we predict Tekken 7 will be offered for free on Xbox One.
With Tekken being a Bandai Namco property, it seems like a more likely pick because Microsoft has a very long history of offering Bandai games for free on Games with Gold.
This includes Dark Souls in June 2014, Project CARS in February 2017, Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion in March 2019, Project CARS 2 in April 2020, and more.
This also includes past entries in the Tekken series like Tekken 6 in January 2020 and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 in September 2019.
Tekken 7 has also steadily declined in price on Xbox One since June 2017, and it very often goes on sale with most recently being this month at 75% off down to only $12.49.
If you don’t see Tekken 7 for free next month, then we expect it sometimes very soon on Games with Gold.
Xbox 360 Game – Sonic Unleashed
Xbox Games with Gold Predictions
After a Xbox One title, usually a smaller Xbox 360 game makes the list as well. With Microsoft’s history of game picks, this usually ends up being either an indie, or a spin-off series inclusion like a LEGO or Disney game.
For July 2020 we predict Sonic Unleashed for the Xbox 360 would will be a likely pick.
Only so many Sonic games released on Xbox 360 including Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Generations, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, Sonic Free Riders, and Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed. Of those six, two have already been offered on Games with Gold including Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed in June 2018 and Sonic Generations in March 2020.
It’s unlikely Microsoft would offer the original Sonic game on Games with Gold, or Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing seeing as they already offered its sequel.
This leaves Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Free Riders, and Sonic Unleashed seeming more probable since it’s not a racer (which Microsoft has had a lot of recently) and it’s remembered more fondly than other entries in the Sonic 3D-platforming series. Therefore, it’s more likely we would see Sonic Unleashed before other Sonic games left on the Xbox 360.
Make sure to check back with Twinfinite in the next week or so for the official reveal for July 2020 to see if any of our Games with Gold predictions were correct.
