Ever since Epic Games found success with the Battle Pass model in Fortnite, we’ve seen other publishers move to follow suit with their own live-service games. And so inevitably, Riot Games’ own new hero-shooter, Valorant, has one too. Here’s how to get Battle Pass in Valorant and a brief overview of what sort of content you can expect.
Refreshingly, Valorant’s progression isn’t locked away behind the Battle Pass. Whether you purchase it or not, all players will advance through different “Tiers,” which are presented as story chapters. All the “Premium” Battle Pass does is add new Tiers onto each chapter and new rewards to unlock as they’re achieved.
It’s worth noting that you can easily preview what type of rewards the Premium Battle Pass offers by looking through each chapter. The Premium Tiers are all signposted, so you’ll be able to make an informed decision as to whether it’s something you’re interested in before coughing up.
