Today Broccoli announced that the upcoming visual novel Jack Jeanne has been delayed by a few months.
The game will now be released in Japan on December 3, 2020 exclusively for Nintendo Switch, this is a few months after the previously-announced release date on August 5.
In case you’re not familiar with Jack Jeanne, it was announced back in April 2019 and it carries the signature of Tokyo Ghoul mangaka Sui Ishida.
Ishida-sensei isn’t just take care of the character design, but he’ll be responsible for most aspects related to the game, including direction, background art, and more. The scenario is written in collaboration with Shin Towada, who worked on the Tokyo Ghoul light novel.
The delay was motivated with the will to deliver the game in the best possible conditions.
While the announcement doesn’t explicitly mentions the Coronavirus emergency, it does mention the decision was taken considering the current circumstances.
You can check out a trailer with the new release date below. It’s really brief, but it conveys the atmosphere of the game.
