Moving Out is a game built to be played in co-op. With up to three additional players, you run around houses, grabbing items to throw into the moving truck and smashing everything you can see. While Moving Out can be played on your own, multiplayer is an important part. You can work together to move heavy items quickly and co-ordinate efforts to get everything into the truck in an organised way.
Can You Play Online Multiplayer in Moving Out?
Unfortunately, the game can only be played in local couch co-op and there are no online multiplayer options, meaning you’re stuck with playing people who can get to your house.
Whether the option will be added to the game at a later date, we don’t know, but couch co-op is the name of the game in Moving Out.
Team 17, the game’s publisher, did reply to a Twitter question about online multiplayer, saying that couch co-op was the focus but there was a way around it for PC players on Steam.
Steam Remote Play Together allows Steam users to kind of convert local play into online play, but it’s not the best quality or particularly reliable, so it might not be the best substitute for proper online multiplayer in Moving Out. There are no options like that in the console versions of Moving Out.
