First things first, you’re going to need to make sure you’ve paid off your initial debt with Tom Nook. It’s the 5,000 Nook Miles he saddles you with for the tent and getting you onto his island.

Once you’ve netted bugs, reeled in some fish, and generally got your hands dirty in island living, you’ll be able to pay off this debt and get access to the Nook Mile Redemption program.

This can be accessed by the little terminal in the corner of Resident Services. Press A when standing in front of this and you’ll be given a list of all Nook Miles rewards you can earn.
