How to Get Felwinter’s Helm in Destiny 2
In what appears to be a thing now since Shadowkeep, Season of the Worthy has added three new pieces of exotic armor, one for each class. Warlocks get Felwinter’s Helm in Season of the Worthy. It is a very interesting new subclass neutral exotics that give Warlocks a way to debuff and weaken groups of enemies. Tether-lite if you will.
Before you can start pretending to be a Nightstalker, you need to know how to get Felwinter’s Helm. Felwinter’s Helm is obtained via a random exotic world drop. You can somewhat easily (as long as you have a decent team) farm exotic engrams through high-power level Nightfall: The Ordeal activities or by opening year 3 raid chests. Alternatively, you can wait until you get free exotic engrams from Season of the Worthy’s season pass.
Warlord’s End Exotic Perk
Warlord’s End is a unique perk for Warlocks. Any charged melee kill or finisher kill will shoot out a circular burst of energy around the killed enemy that will weaken and stun anyone else around them.
This counts as a debuff, and you’ll do increased damage to anyone effected by Warlord’s End. So a good strategy for using Felwinter’s Helm would be to try and killer a lesser enemy that’s a near a major with your melee or finisher, and then pile on damage. You can also pair this with Monte Carlo to keep your melee attack up as much as possible.
Is it easier to just tether or use Sunbreaker’s Hammer Strike? Yes, definitely. However, Felwinter’s Helm is a subclass neutral exotic so there is some extra flexbility there where with the other two examples you need to be a specific subclass or even subclass tree in the case of Sunbreaker. Also you only need to wait for your melee to come back (or just use a finisher) versus having to wait for a super in the case of Nightstalker.
