It’s finally arrived. Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 is here and players around the world rejoice after what was quite possibly the longest season in the game’s history. Of course, a new season means new content, and new content means new cosmetics. One cosmetic that’s been teased a few times already is Fortnite’s Meowscles (Agent Meowskers), the mysterious cat secret agent. Here’s how to unlock Meowscles in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2.
Unlocking Meowscles in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2
Meowscles is one of the Battle Pass skins in Chapter 2 Season 2. It can be unlocked by reaching Tier 60. This can be done by completing challenges, performing well in games, and earning medals.
Medals can be earned for numerous things, such as reaching the last 50, 25, and 10 players, searching chests and ammo boxes, getting eliminations, and racking up assists in team-based modes.
Alternatively, if you can’t be bothered waiting until Tier 60 to unlock this cat cosmetic through in-game progression, you can always spend V-Bucks to unlock Battle Pass Tiers. It’ll cost you 150 V-Bucks per tier that you want to skip.
Getting Meowscles Ghost & Shadow Bonus Styles
As noted in the Battle Pass trailer for Chapter 2 Season 2, all of the skins that you’ll unlock in it will have bonus styles that you’ll unlock as you progress. The Shadow style gives them a dark styling, whereas Ghost gives them a lighter styling.
To unlock the Ghost and Shadow styles for Meowscles, you’ll need to do the following:
- Buy the Battle Pass
- Reach Tier 60
- Complete at least 18 of Meowscles’ Challenges
It’s worth noting that Mewoscle’s Challenges haven’t gone live just yet, so you’ll have to sit tight and wait a little longer. According to the in-game timer, this is likely to come in about 28 days’ time.
Once you’ve completed all of the above, you want to look for the ‘Agents’ option from the lobby screen. It’s just above the Daily Assignments board.
Select the ‘Agents’ option and you’ll then be able to choose the Battle Pass skin, in this case, Meowscles, that you want to unlock the Ghost or Shadow style for.
Then select either one once you’ve completed the requirements. Be sure of your decision, though, as this cannot be reversed once you’ve chosen a style.
