Select Xbox Live Users Invited to Beta Test Xbox One March Update

Xbox Live’s Major Nelson has posted on Xbox Wire regarding the upcoming patch headed to Xbox One sometime in early March. The patch had previously been said to include some multiplayer and party-focused improvements in preparation of Titanfall, which releases March 11.

Starting today, Microsoft is inviting select Xbox Live users to beta test the update, as well as future system updates, before they release. It should be noted that if you plan on playing online with your buddies during the beta, they will also need to be a beta tester for party functionality to work. So if you plan on playing online, it may be best to leave the beta testing to the lonely saps playing nothing but single player.

Selected participants will receive an Xbox Live message with a token to register. The next system update will begin rolling out next week to those who will preview the new features. Once registered, participants will be able to test the early features included in the update and provide feedback on a private forum and can opt out of future waves.
