If there are two things you’re going to run out of a lot of the time and forever be wishing you had more of in Journey to the Savage Planet, it’d be health and stamina. Fortunately, you won’t be stuck forever on the same lowly amount of each you’ve at the start. Here’s how to increase health and stamina in Journey to the Savage Planet.
Increasing Health and Stamina in Journey to the Savage Planet
To increase your max health and stamina, you’ll need to keep an eye out for round balls of orange goo. They almost look like they’re coming out of a plant or something. We’ve included a screenshot of one below.
After finding one of these, simply press Square on PS4, X on Xbox One, or E on PC to interact with it. This will result in your character shoving their hands into it, and then having a good ol’ nibble on the weird, unknown alien goo. Sensible idea!
The first time you do this in Journey to the Savage Planet, you’ll increase your health and stamina a tiny bit. You can see the amount these bars increase by checking them in the top left-hand corner of the screen.
After you’ve eaten your first one, however, you’ll then need to find an increasing amount more of these orange goos and interact with/ eat them in order to further increase your max health and stamina.
The more you increase your health and stamina, the more orange goo you’ll need to find to further increase it.
There are 100 orange goos for players to find in Journey to the Savage Planet, and they’re all tucked away in various nooks and crannies of the planet.
Venture off the beaten path and use items you didn’t have when you first visited sections of the planet to find plenty of these orange goos hiding away.
How to Find All Orange Goo Locations Easily
Once you reach Rank 3, you’ll be able to unlock a new Visor upgrade from the 3D Printer. It will highlight the location of all orange goos in Journey to the Savage Planet.
All you need to do is go around the world and press R3. This will trigger a little pulse out, and on your compass at the top of the screen, the locations of nearby orange goo will be marked with a bright orange marker. Then it’s simply a case of making your way to them.
Another handy tip is to constantly cut down any Tentaweeds that you see as you’re running around the world. More often than not, you’ll find an orange goo hiding away in the depths of it.
