How to Get Ditto in Pokemon Sword & Shield

The only area you’re going to find Ditto in is the Lake of Outrage in the Wild Area. This is the very top left region, just west of Hammerlocke. The only problem is that you won’t be able to reach this area until you upgrade your bike.

Play through the main story until you reach Circhester and Route 9, which is when you’ll get a bike upgrade that lets you cross bodies of water.

Once you have the upgrade you can cross the lake and head to the other side of the Lake of Outrage. Now you’ll need to wander around the area and keep an eye out for Ditto.

Ditto only has roughly a 20 percent chance of spawning as an overworld Pokemon, and even less for appearing in a random encounter.

Make sure to keep a close eye on the grass, as Ditto can be tough to see due to its small stature. If you spend enough time and stick with it, though, you’re sure to come across one eventually. Then you’re ready to head to the Daycare.
