We get to see Shimane-born comedian Negosix, who will appear in the game playing himself. Apparently our hero will meet him quite often.

The second character is Shimanekko, the cat mascot of Shimane prefecture.

The third is Kazuya Makita, played by Yuki Fujita, followed by Hina Shiraishi, played by idol Natsumi Matsubara.

Last, but not least, we meet film director Kentaro Yamagishi, who will play himself in the role of one of our protagonist’s rivals in the competition to create the titular film.

Looks like Kadokawa Games really didn’t hold back in hiring celebrities to enrich the cast of Root Film.

You can check them out below.

The game is coming to PS4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan in spring 2020, while the western release will come courtesy of PQube games at some point next year, for the same platforms.
