Death Stranding is finally out and, as you’d expect from a Hideo Kojima game, it’s very story heavy and full of cutscenes you’ll need to watch to understand the story. If you’re not interested though, here’s everything you need to know about how to skip cutscenes and dialogue in Death Stranding.
Just as was the case in the Metal Gear Solid games, you’ll find some cutscenes in Death Stranding that are very long. There’s even at least one that is supposedly more than an hour long.
How to Skip Cutscenes & Dialogue in Death Stranding
The first thing you should note is that skipping cutscenes isn’t made very easy in the game, and there’s a lot of them, for even the most minor of things.
What you need to do is pause the game by pressing Options once the cutscene has started. From here, you can select Skip by highlighting it and pressing X.
However, doing so will only skip that particular part of the cutscene. You’ll often be loaded right into a second one, and maybe even a third, and you’ll have to do the same process again to skip it.
Your two options are to either go through that a few times if you want to skip cutscenes and dialogue, or you’ll just have to watch them.
Time needed: 1 minute
In short, here’s how to skip cutscenes in Death Stranding
