Red Dead Redemption 2 was one of the best and most critically acclaimed game releases of 2018, and certainly one of the most beautiful as well. And now PC players will finally get the opportunity to check it out on their maxed out rigs and view its beauty in all its glory. Here’s how to preload Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC.
How to Preload Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC
Of course, before you even think about preloading the game, you’ll first need to pre-purchase it, which you can do by downloading the Rockstar Games Launcher and purchasing it from their digital storefront.
At the time of writing, the game is already available for preload on PC, but do note that you’ll need to set aside quite a bit of hard drive space for it. This game requires you to have at least 150 GB of free space on your hard drive or SSD, which is to be expected, considering that this is one of the most detailed open world games we’ve seen this generation.
Once you’ve pre-purchased the game and have ensured that you have enough space for it on your PC, you can then preload it by accessing the Rockstar Games Launcher, selecting the game, and clicking on the Preload button. Then, the game will start its download and installation process.
Once it’s been installed, you’re all good to go. You’ll just have to wait till Nov. 5 to be able to actually play it. Considering that the download size is so large, it’s definitely recommended that you preload the game now if you don’t have a great internet connection so that you can jump right in once it goes live on the 5th.
