Modern Warfare brings the single-player campaign back to Call of Duty, but the online modes are still a focus for many. On top of the classic multiplayer modes, you can play co-op in Spec-Ops missions. So that you know how much there is to dive into, here’s everything you need to know about how many spec-ops missions there are in Modern Warfare.
Whether you want to play from the comfort of your couch with a friend or family member, or in a four player online session, Spec-Ops is sort of a mid-way point between the campaign and the multiplayer.
We say that because it still allows you to level up and use your own loadouts, but it also features some story beats that compliment what you would have seen in the single-player campaign. It’s not particularly long or spoilery though, so don’t worry if you’re yet to play the campaign.
How Many Spec-Ops Missions There Are in Modern Warfare
There are four main missions to play in Spec Ops. You can access them via the Quick Play option in the Co-op part of the game, and you get the option to choose the operation before you look for a public lobby. The four missions are:
- Operation Headhunter
- Operation Kuvalda
- Operation Paladin
- Operation Crosswing
However, while it’s fun to replay these Spec-Ops missions, there are some other things you can do in co-op. While they’re not strictly individual Spec-Ops missions, you can play Classic Special Ops and Survival.
Until late 2020, Survival is exclusive to the PlayStation 4 version of Modern Warfare, but it sees you come up against waves of enemies as you try to survive.
