The Impossible Lair is a brand new Yooka-Laylee adventure and it really builds on the promise shown by the original game. As you’d expect from a platformer from the minds behind Donkey Kong Country, there are some tricky sections too. Here’s everything you need to know about how to get the H2GO Tonic in Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair.
Getting the H2GO Tonic in Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair
When you’re in the pond area with Nimbo, you’ll see a Pagie when you go through a secret entrance behind the trees near the big flag to the west. When you’re there, solve the challenge that you’ll find.
Solving it opens up another area in which you’ll find another Pagie that is being held prisoner in a cage.
What you need to do is flip the switches so that the cages spin around and line up in a way that allows you to go across them to the left side of the water.
Roll to the other side of the pond, near the new chapter – which is Chapter 14. Here, you’ll see a blue key on a ledge that’s unreachable. To knock it down, roll into the weak rock that’s underneath the ledge.
Once you’ve grabbed the key, head back to the Pagie that’s being kept prisoner and free him by interacting with the cage. Completing the Freed Pagie’s challenge will then open up the other side of the desert area.
All you then need to do is use the Bombberry Bush to explode the wall between the two areas.
Then, quickly take another Bombberry to the block of stone at the south of the desert to access the four-way link between the areas.
Inside that area that opens up, you’ll be able to grab the H2GO tonic.
