Activision announced today that the free-to-play Call of Duty: Mobile is now available to play on iOS and Android devices.
The first-person shooter features full multiplayer with a variety of game modes, weapons, scorestreaks, operator skills, and classic Call of Duty maps such as Nuketown from the Black Ops series and Crossfire from Modern Warfare.
The game also features a battle royale mode with up to 100 players on land, sea, and air with playable vehicles. There is also a battle pass with free and premium tiers.
“Throughout focused and regional tests, the fan response has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic. Many fine touches and polish items came directly from player feedback,” said Activision VP, Mobile Chris Plummer. “Today we’re starting with a robust suite of multiplayer modes, our original Battle Royale experience and a host of special events, but there’s a ton of more content on the way. Launch is only just the start.”
Activision also published a guide on how to start the game, which includes a full tutorial, a sample multiplayer match, and how to navigate the various various menu such as this busy main menu.
Call of Duty: Mobile is out now for iOS and Android. The game was developed by Tencent Games’ TiMi studio, which is currently developing a Pokemon game with The Pokemon Company.
