At the helm of development is Senran Kagura creator Kenichiro Takaki, who presented the game running liv e for the first time.

First of all we get to see the rather deep character customization feature, and if you were concerned that the game would be light on fanservice, maybe you should worry no more.

Secondly, we get to see plenty of racing, providing a look at how the game actually plays. You can enjoy all the videos below.

During the livestream, Takaki-san also provided more relevant information on the game itself.

The game is set in Tokyo in a near-future timeline, and we also get to see two characters exclusive to the game which won’t appear in the anime, forming the “Grindcore” team.

Each team is formed by two members riding one jetski in races. One rides at the Jetter, driving the machine, while the second is the shooter, operating water guns.

There are three modes: Story Mode is the single-player campaign, showcasing a story that diverges from the anime.

Free mode is a single race that lets you face off against the AI, and Online Mode is self-explanatory, letting you race competitively with up to four players.

There will be eight tracks, and today we get to see two, Akihabara and Asakusa.

You can see all the presentation slides below.

If you want to learn more about the game, you can also enjoy the first trailer and read all the information that Takaki-san himself recently provided us with.

On top of that, we interviewed Takaki-san about his future projects and his departure from Marvelous.

Kandagawa Jet Girls releases in Japan for PS4 on January 16, 2020.
