Stats and Perks

The Black Hole shield is a reoccurring item in the Borderlands universe and it returns once again for Borderlands 3.

Its stats, like most of the equipment in Borderlands 3, are randomized and leveled to your character. However, like all legendary equipment, it has some extra perks.

It has the unique flavor text perk She’s Gone From Suck to Blow, a not so subtle reference a famous quote from the classic comedy, Space Balls.

When the Black Hole shield is depleted of energy, it sends a wave of force out from around your character, pushing back anything that’s around you.

If you’re getting swarmed by enemies, this isn’t a bad shield to have equipped as it will give you some breathing room and a chance to get away if that’s what you need to do.

How to Get the Black Hole Shield

Black Hole is a world drop in Borderlands 3. This means that it can be found by looting weapon caches and hoping for the best. If there’s a boss that drops randomized legendary loot, it could possibly drop from that as well.

You can check out our guide for farming legendary weapons here, but in general you’ll want to do a loop of repeated boss kills on the highest mayhem mode difficulty you can handle while looting everything you can find.

That does it for how to get the Black Hole legendary shield in Borderlands 3 and what its perk does.

Best of luck hunting for this powerful shield! For more on Borderlands 3, be sure to check out our wiki guide for more tips and tricks, and read our scored review for our complete thoughts on the latest from Gearbox.
