To awaken the Wind Fish and complete the main story in Link’s Awakening, you will be going through eight dungeons, with each one getting progressively harder than the last.

To complete all of these while also traversing the island looking for secrets, it’ll take a little over 10 hours.

The time can drastically change depending on how much time you spend doing other things, but Link’s Awakening can definitely be beaten in a short amount of time if you’ve already played the original, as most puzzle solutions are exactly the same.

If you wanted to see the list of all eight dungeons, here are the names of them.

List of Dungeons:

  • Tail Cave
  • Bottle Grotto
  • Key Cavern
  • Angler’s Tunnel
  • Catfish’s Maw
  • Face Shrine
  • Eagles Tower
  • Turtle Rock

For those that have completed the game, there is actually one secret dungeon called the Color Dungeon that can be beaten, but it’s way less lengthy compared to the main dungeons.

How long does it take to beat?

Expect the main story to take you about 10-15 hours to complete.

How many dungeons are there?

There are nine of you include the Color Dungeon.
