So when you first start Link’s Awakening, you will be awoken and told to go to the beach to get your first sword in the game. Once your adventure begins, you will notice that there are little pedestals around Mabe Village.

These are spots that are used to hold certain figures and CiaoCiao is one of them.

To get this figure, you need to head over to the Trendy Game shop in the village and play the crane game to pick it up. The figure just looks like a Chain Chomp with a pink bow.

The game costs 10 rupees to play which you can acquire by cutting the grass outside. Once you eventually win it, take it over to the house with the Chain Chomp in front of it in Mabe Village and then you will see the stand for it on the dining table.

If you don’t see the figure in the game shop, but instead you see a Yoshi Doll. What you need to do is win the Yoshi Doll first and then go back to the shop later and the figure should be there.

To sum things up:

  1. Go to the Trendy Game in Mabe Village.

  2. Win the CiaoCiao Figure.

  3. Go to the house with the Chain Chomp and place the figure on the table.
