Greedfall, the new action RPG from Spiders, is out now and the world that’s made up of larger open areas is pretty huge. So that you can take on quests at the right time of the day, here’s everything you need to know about how to wait and pass time in Greedfall.
While resting in the game doesn’t do anything to your character’s stats or anything – there’s no healing while resting or tiredness to think about – you’ll want to wait and pass time because the time of day can affect quests.
Sometimes, guard posts will be thinner at night, making it easier to sneak past to complete the objective.
Fast traveling between the different areas and cities in the game uses in-game time, so you’ll often have to wait somewhere to make it the right time of the day for the quest you’re in the middle of.
How to Wait & Pass Time in Greedfall
Thankfully, it’s easy to find somewhere to wait and pass time in the game. You won’t be able to do so right from the start, but once you reach Teer Fradee you’ll be introduced to be your Accommodation and Campsites.
You’ll have an Accommodation in all major cities and you can sleep on the bed on the top floor to pass time.
As for campsites, they are scattered throughout the open areas in the world and need to be visited to be activated. You’ll be able to spot them from the plume of smoke going up into the air.
Just walk up to it and interact with it, at which point it’ll spawn a crafting table next to it and you’ll be able to sleep there to pass time.
Activating campsites is also good because it opens up new options for fast-traveling that minimizes the walking you might have to do.
In short,
- You need to visit either your Accommodation or Campsites to wait and pass time.
You won’t unlock either until you reach the main Teer Fradee island.
- You need to head to the top floor of your Accommodation to sleep or activate Campsites and then press triangle/Y.
