Thankfully, the combat isn’t too difficult in Greedfall, apart from a few boss fights (particularly one at the start of the game’s introductory section). However, it’s always good to be at max health.

How to Heal in Greedfall

There’s actually a few ways to heal in the game. The first, which you’re introduced to at the very start of the game, is Health Potions.

You can use them from your inventory, but I’d recommend binding them to a shortcut from the moment you’re introduced to them in the fight against Kurt in the first five minutes.

If you haven’t done so, just press L1 if you’re on PS4, or LB if you’re on Xbox One, to open up the tactical pause menu, which allows you to pick your next action at your leisure.

From here, you can cycle over to the Potions tab with the d-pad, find your Health Potions, and then press square/X to bind them, allowing you to choose what button you want to be the shortcut.

Then, when you’re in battle, all you need to do is press that button and De Sardet will heal himself with the potion, getting you back to full health.

There’s another way to heal in Greedfall too, though. As you may know, each of the game’s party members/companions have attributes that help you in combat.

Hurt and Vasco are strong fighters, but Siora can heal you. If you have her part of your team, you’ll occasionally hear her shout and she’ll heal you, with orange lights flashing around you as she uses her magic. That makes her very helpful, especially in combat focused quests.

In short, there’s two ways to heal in Greedfall.

  1. You can use Health Potions from the Tactical Pause menu or bind them to a shortcut.

  2. You can also be healed by companions like Siora.
