Astral Chain is PlatinumGames’ latest action-adventure title, as players are placed into an anime-inspired world plagued by an alien threat. Considering its anime comparisons, some fans may be inclined to listen to the game’s audio in Japanese. Here is everything you need to know about how to change to Japanese voice track and audio.
How to Change to Japanese Voice Track & Audio in Astral Chain
When Astral Chain first starts, the default audio is going to be English for audio and subtitles alike.
In order to change audio to Japanese, you’ll need to play through File / Chapter 1.
The end of the first stage will occur once you return to the Police Station for the first time in the story.
Once you are back and can move freely, open the main menu with the minus button. (Be sure to save before doing this next part).
Pull up the System tab and select Go to Return to Title menu. This will take you to the main menu.
From the main menu, select Options and scroll down to Language. There, you can adjust your preferences for both Voice and Display.
Though there is a Language option in the menu that can be found in the in-game menus, they are unfortunately unselectable from this area.
Now that you can listen and read Astral Chain in proper anime style, the next step is to simply jump in!
So, to sum things up
- Get to the end of File/Chapter 1
- Press the Minus button to bring up the menu and select System
- Scroll down and click Return to Title
- In the Main Menu, select Option
- In Option, set your language preferences for both Voice and Display
