Shock and Denial

First things first, you’re gonna want to visit Shaxx in the Tower. Talk to him to accept the Shock and Denial quest step, which is your first step towards completing this Exotic quest.

Shock and Denial requires you to complete 10 Crucible matches in the Competitive playlist. The good news is that you don’t need 10 wins; just 10 completed matches will do.

Pain and Guilt

After you’ve completed the first step, the second step towards getting Luna’s Howl is Pain and Guilt.

This is another straightforward quest step, but could take a bit of time, depending on how proficient you are with Hand Cannons.

You’ll need to get final blows with a Hand Cannon in the Competitive Crucible playlist, and assists don’t count towards your progress.

Anger and Bargaining

For the third step, you need to head back into the Competitive Crucible playlist, where you now need to get Solar kills.

Thankfully, these Solar kills can be from weapons or class abilities, giving you a bit more flexibility.

Depression and Loneliness

This is where the Luna’s Howl quest chain in Destiny 2 eases up a little, as this step only requires you to complete three Rumble matches. Wins are not required here.

The Upward Turn

And then things get tricky once again, as you need to head back into the Competitive Crucible playlist.

However, this time, you need to get precision final blows with a Hand Cannon, which is much trickier than before.

Reconstruction

Finally, all you have to do is reach the Fabled Glory rank in Crucible. Do this, and you’ll have completed all quest steps and receive the Luna’s Howl Hand Cannon.
