Control, the new game from Remedy, is out now and you’ll be heading to your PC, Xbox One, or PlayStation 4 to download it. However, you’ll want to be sure that you have enough space on your hard drive to install it before you get going. So that you’re prepared ahead of time, here’s everything you need to know about what the install size of Control is.
You may have already pre-loaded the game on whatever system you’re playing on, so you might already know the install size, but if not, it’s safe to prepare enough space before you get the game so that you’re not deleting things at the last second.
What Control’s Install Size Is
Thankfully, the install size of Control isn’t too large. On PS4, it comes in at just 24.4 GB. That’s the only version we’ve been able to test right now, but the Microsoft Store, where you can preorder the game, says that it will come in at 34.75 GB on Xbox One.
We don’t know the size of the game on PC just yet, with no information being available on Steam, but you can expect it to be around the same sort of figure. Of course, we’ll update you here once we know the confirmed size.
Also, this install size doesn’t take into account any day one or subsequent patches that Remedy might release for Control. If there’s a big increase to the size around release or the week following, we’ll also update you.
However, with Control’s install size being a little smaller than many other AAA games we see nowadays, there shouldn’t be too much to worry about.
That’s everything you need to know about what the install size of Control is. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to check out our Control wiki guide once the full game’s out or search for Twinfinite.
