Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky may not have got off to the best start when it released back in 2016, but following a series of substantial updates, the game’s better than ever and the community’s thriving, too. With Beyond, the developer has added VR support and a number of other features. Here’s what the download and install size is for No Man’s Sky Beyond’s update.
What No Man’s Sky Beyond’s Download & Install Size Is
The update introducing all of the new features in No Man’s Sky Beyond is now live on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. The file size seemingly varies a little bit between the platforms, but fear not, because we’ve listed them all for you down below.
- PS4: 11.011 GB
- PC: 10 GB
- Xbox One: 8 GB
We’ll be updating this post with the download size of the No Man’s Sky Beyond update on PC once we can confirm it. Be sure to check back soon.
Unsurprisingly, given the tiny install size of No Man’s Sky itself, the Beyond update is about four times the size of the original install size of the game. Given the amount of improvements and new features it’s adding into the core game, this isn’t all that surprising.
What’s New in No Man’s Sky Beyond?
It’s not just VR that’s coming in the Beyond update. Hello Games has been hard at work improving the game’s ‘multiplayer’ element to the point that it’s several ‘massively multiplayer’ features added in. There’s a hub world, missions you can embark on with others, community challenges, and emotes that you can use to interact with other players.
There’s also new changes to biome diversity, as well as a whole new mount system, so yes, you can ride about on aliens like you’ve always dreamed of. Updated NPCs, improvements to crafting, cooking, and creating have also been made, to allow for the most immersive sci-fi exploration experience that No Man’s Sky has offered thus far.
