Fire Emblem Three Houses features a very large roster of characters, all with a variety of different skills to level up over time. Here’s how to get the Knowledge Gem in Fire Emblem Three Houses, and what it does.
What the Knowledge Gem Does
Unlike the Experience Gem, the Knowledge Gem doesn’t give you experience points to be put towards your next character level. Instead, it’ll increase the amount of skill experience earned. This means that any character with it equipped will be able to level up their skills much quickly in combat, allowing them to easily reach the requirements for the Advanced and Master Classes.
Needless to say, this is a very valuable item that can help greatly with leveling.
How to Get the Knowledge Gem in Fire Emblem Three Houses
Do Sothis’ Paralogue
Near the very beginning of the game, you’ll get a Paralogue mission for Sothis which requires you to go back to the Red Canyon. All you have to do is open the chest on the field to get your first Knowledge Gem.
Do note that you’ll need a Chest Key to open it, and these Keys can be purchased from the Item Shop. If you don’t have a Chest Key, you can also open it by having a Thief class character interact with the chest.
Completing Chapter 11
If you missed the Knowledge Gem from Sothis’ Paralogue, you have another chance to get a second one. The second Gem can be obtained in Chapter 11, where you’re tasked with protecting all of the Crest Stones in the Holy Mausoleum.
All you need to do is prevent the thieves and bandits from escaping with a Crest Stone. If you manage to protect or recover all of them, you’ll be rewarded with a Knowledge Gem at the end of the mission.
