CyberConnect2 Has No Plans to Make a Bleach Game for Now

Considering CyberConnect2’s involvement with making games from Shounen Jump properties, many have been wondering whether they could make a Bleach Game.

Today the studio posted a video starring President Hiroshi Matsuyama as he answers exactly that question.

Unfortunately, the answer is that there is no plan for a Bleach game for the moment, as the studio is focusing on its current projects. As for the future, they don’t know what it’ll bring.

Besides a series of independent games, CyberConnect2 is currently working on Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot for Bandai Namco, which will release in early 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The latest appearance of the Bleach franchise in a major video game was with a few of its characters on the recently-released Jump Force, which was developed by Spike Chunsoft also for Ps4, Xbox One, and PC.

At the moment, Bandai Namco (which appears to have pretty much the monopoly on Shounen Jump properties for games) has dropped no hint on any game dedicated to Bleach. That being said, mangaka Tite Kubo has been working on Sega’s Project Sakura Wars for PS4.
