Catching Pokemon

When you’re running through stages in the game, taking on the smaller ‘mon before you reach the bosses, some of them will go even smaller after you defeat them and they’ll be added to your collection. You don’t have to do anything specific to catch them, it just sort of happens.

You’ll come across basic Pokemon like Rattata and Pidgey, and everything else up to Legendaries. Of course, as you would in any game in the wider series, you’ll want to catch them all.

Can You Evolve Pokemon in Pokemon Rumble Rush?

Since a lot of the creatures you catch will have evolutions, you might want to fill up your Pokedex that way. Unfortunately, unlike the main line games, you cannot evolve Pokemon in Rumble Rush.

The only way to get evolutions is to catch them during stages. You can upgrade the stats of basic Pokemon you catch using gears, but you won’t ever be able to evolve Pokemon at a certain level or after you’ve had them for a certain amount of time.

Instead, if you want to add all the evolutions to your collection, keep making your way through the stages, defeating all the Super Bosses, and you’ll have a lot of them in no-time. By the end of the island that comes after the tutorial, you’ll have a lot of the Gen 1 Pokemon, and even have faced Zapdos.

That’s everything you need to know about whether you can evolve Pokemon in Pokemon Rumble Rush. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite. We have also listed some other helpful guides on the game down below.
