How to Start New Game Plus in Fire Emblem Three Houses

As the title suggests, new game plus mode begins when you beat the game for the first time. Upon completion of the story campaign (regardless of which House you chose), you’ll be able to start a new game and carry some stuff over from your cleared data.

At the title screen, simply choose the New Game option, and the game will ask if you want to start new game plus. From there, just confirm your selection, and you’ll begin your journey anew, with a bit of help along the way.

It’s worth noting that even on new game plus, you’ll still be able to choose your difficulty and preferred character form. This means that even if you played on Normal difficulty on your cleared save, you can start on Hard difficulty on new game plus. You can also choose the male or female avatar, as per normal.

What Carries Over in New Game Plus

While character levels and money don’t carry over, there’s still a ton of stuff you’ll get to enjoy from your previous save file in new game plus.

Here’s a list of things that will get carried over in Fire Emblem Three Houses:

  • Renown
  • Hired Battalions
  • Shops
  • Saint-Statue Levels

It doesn’t sound like a lot; however, once you gain access to the Monastery again, you can use the journal in your private dorm and spend renown points to unlock several other things like your professor level, support levels, skill levels, Crest items, Combat Arts, and skills gained from mastering classes.

In addition to that, you can also use the journal to change the appearance of your units, and choose between their Monastery uniforms and war outfits.
