If you’ve been looking for a turn-based RPG that pits school houses against one another in deadly battles, and then having tea parties with your favorite characters, then Fire Emblem: Three Houses is probably the (only) game for you. Let’s not beat around the bush here, Fire Emblem: Three Houses’ download has an install size of 10.9 GB. To give you a bit of a comparison, Fortnite weighs in at about 5.7 GB on the Switch as a download, while The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild requires 13.4 GB if downloaded onto the Switch.
If you pick up a physical copy of the game, you’re looking at a significantly smaller install size, compared to if you digitally download Fire Emblem: Three Houses, but we’re not yet able to confirm the exact size just yet.
It’s also worth noting that while this was the install size of the digital download of the game at the time of writing, any post-launch patches or updates could both increase or decrease the footprint of the game on your system’s internal storage, though this is rarely by a significant margin.
Still, it’s worth just keeping in mind if you’re already strapped for space.
