Though the feature isn’t made available to you at the very start of Builders 2, you can store items and materials with the use of the Bag equipment item.

This is given to you once you reach Furrowfield, or more specifically after you obtain Wheat Seeds for the NPC Rosie.

With the bag, you can store most anything you come across at any time, saving it for later use or just to clear up some space for a new item in your immediate inventory.

How to Store and View Items and Materials in the Bag

To store something in the Bag, simply move the item select cursor of your immediate inventory over what you wish to store with the left or right D-Pad buttons.

Then, press down on the D-Pad to store it, saving it for later and opening up a slot for a new item in your immediate inventory.

You can likewise open up the Bag to take out items and materials at any time. This is done by pressing up on the D-Pad, which automatically opens up the inventory screen.

Once there, you can select, store and use whatever you need at your discretion.

That should cover everything you’d need to know about how to store items and materials in Dragon Quest Builders 2. For more on the game, check out our Dragon Quest Builders 2 guide wiki for plenty of other tips, tricks and information.
