How to Get and Use the Reflector Ray in Bloodstained Ritual of the Night

The Reflector Ray is a mid-game Shard that’s required to progress through the story, and allows you to pass through small gaps.

Before going off to look for it, though, you need to have defeated Zangetsu in the castle, and obtained the Craftwork Shard from the Craftwork boss in Dian Cecht Cathedral.

After that, head to the Garden of Silence and have the Coachman ferry you across to the other side of the broken bridge. From here, head southeast, where you’ll find two paths: one leading you to the Bridge of Evil, and the other taking you to the Towers of the Twin Dragons. Head for the Towers first.

Essentially, the first part of the Towers level will reward you with the double jump ability, which you’ll need to complete the second part of the Towers. The final area of the Towers will face you off against the twin dragons themselves.

After defeating them, drop down the hole in the ground to go all the way down to the first floor, where you’ll find a golden chest with the Silver Bromide. Now head all the way back to the village and examine the painting in the left corner of Dominique’s supply post. This will reward you with the Identification key item.

Now, head back to the Towers and find OD in his library. Talk to him, and he’ll give you his credentials required to get past the machinery in the Bridge of Evil.

Head back to the Bridge of Evil, and you’ll unlock a new level to explore. This is a very small level, and defeating the boss at the end of the path will reward you with the Reflector Ray Shard.

How to Use the Reflector Ray

Equip the Reflector Ray Shard in your Directional category, and you’ll be able to use the right stick to aim a beam of light.

The idea here is to bounce the light off reflective surfaces, then press the R2 button to teleport yourself to wherever the beam ends. While using the right stick, angle the beam of light just right, then hit the button when you’re happy with the angle.

That’s all you need to know about how to get and use the Reflector Ray Shard in Bloodstained Ritual of the Night. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
