Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is bringing the demon-slaying Metroidvania goodness back all over again, looking all pretty in its classic art style, too. With all the exploring and back-and-forthing you’ll be doing around the map and different areas, you’ll likely be wanting to know how to fast travel in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, to cut your travel time down.

The first thing you need to know is that you can’t simply fast travel from anywhere on the game’s map to a specific location. As great as that would be, that would remove a lot of the challenge from the game.

Instead, you’ll need to keep an eye out for stained glass windows that can be spotted often in the background of each area in this side-scroller.

How to Fast Travel in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

To fast travel in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, you want to head to any room on your map that’s colored green. These are your fast travel rooms and will all have a stained glass window you can interact with to hop between them.

To use a stained glass window, simply walk in front of it and then press up on the d-pad. This will then bring up a list of all the other fast travel rooms you’ve unlocked so far, allowing you to travel between them.

As you’ve probably guessed, you cannot fast travel to a room that you’ve yet to unlock.

The first fast travel room can be found directly above the Arantville safe area, so be sure to get this one for a nice and early fast travel point you can come back to once you’ve unlocked more Shards and abilities.

After that, simply keep an eye out for the stained glass window in any room that you’re exploring. You can always confirm which rooms are fast travel rooms by opening your map and seeing if they’re colored in green.
