How to Raise City Reputation & What It Does in Judgment

City Reputation is tied directly to the Friendship system in Judgment, and as one goes up so does the other. Every time you make a friend in Judgment you’ll gain one City Reputation point, all the way up to 50, the total amount of friends in the game.

If you look at your minimap by pressing the touchpad, you’ll see a bunch of handshake icons popping up on the map throughout the game.

Each of these icons represents a friend event, and in order to make that friend, you’ll have to do a number of things. Sometimes you merely need to talk to them, other times you need to complete a set of objectives or fights.

On the flipside, many friend events only open up once you have enough City Reputation or after you’ve completed a specific Side Case. This is why you’ll want to mop up any friend events you find and raise your Reputation, thereby opening up even more content.

Each chapter, make sure to check for new Side Cases at the Yagami Detective Agency, Genda Law Office, and Bar Tender. There will, generally, be at least one new Side Case to work at these locations in each chapter, which rewards you with money, SP, and oftentimes a new friend event.

Making friends, of course, has even more benefits as they’ll greet you around town and boost your EX Gauge, give you gifts, help you in battle, and more.

That’s everything you need to know about how to raise City Reputation and what it does in Judgment. For even more tips, tricks, and guides make sure to search Twinfinite, or check out our Judgment guide wiki.
