PlayStation’s annual Days of Play sale has kicked off once again, and there are way too many options. There are an absurd number of games on sale during the eleven-day event, 258 to be exact (if you include special editions and such)!
Sifting through that massive list to get to all the most notable deals would be an absolute pain. So, we’ve compiled five of the best deals from this year’s Days of Play event worth taking advantage of. Here they are:
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
Last year’s Assassin’s Creed game was, in many ways, an extension of the prior year’s Assassin’s Creed Origins. Odyssey expounded upon the open-world design choices that Origins laid in place, with the gloriously beautiful setting of ancient Greece.
Our reviewer gave Assassin’s Creed Odyssey a 4.5/5, saying that “it takes the groundwork of Origins, and builds upon it with a more refined combat system, new and interesting enemy mechanics to get used to, and one of the strongest personal stories we’ve seen in the series.”

Battlefield V
Last year’s Battlefield was put in a bit of an awkward situation. Trailing a month behind the massively successful Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, it wasn’t exactly in the best position to sweep the sales charts.
That said, it still got generally positive reviews, and a battle royale mode called Firestorm added this past March. DICE is still supporting the game through consistent updates and chapters, the 4th of which got a trailer just a couple days ago.
With steady support, Battlefield will inevitably continue to improve throughout 2019. And with the Days of Play event decreasing the cost from 59.99 to 23.99 USD, there really isn’t a better time to jump on board. You can buy Battlefield V on the PlayStation store.
Dragon Ball FighterZ
The hype leading up to last year’s Dragon Ball FighterZ was ultimately paid off when it turned out to be a stylish, charming, addictive fighting game. Even for people who aren’t a fan of the anime, Dragon Ball FighterZ has a certain appeal in its gloriously over-the-top animations and art style that separates it from other fighters.
Almost immediately, FighterZ rose to the top of the esports scene as one of the most watched tournaments at last year’s EVO. While, unfortunately, FighterZ will not be making an EVO reappearance this year, the point still stands that it’s a massively replayable and gorgeous fighting game.
In case you never hopped on board, Dragon Ball FighterZ will drop from 59.99 to 17.99 USD on the PlayStation store for the next eleven days.
Far Cry 5
It’s hard to top the open-world shenanigans of a Far Cry game – last year’s iteration only further proved this fact. Far Cry 5 has you explore the forestry of Montana, killing enemies and violent wildlife as you try to stop religious antagonist Joseph Seed.
For many, Far Cry 5’s plot fell short of the promise in its pre-release marketing, taking less of a political approach than the trailers seemed to imply. Regardless, Far Cry 5’s bleak ending ties into the more recent spin-off, Far Cry: New Dawn.
For those interested in exploring the wild lands of Montana, Far Cry 5 will drop from 59.99 to 14.99 USD on the PlayStation Store.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition
Ah, The Witcher 3. Many would call it one of the greatest open-world games of all time, if not one of the best games of all time, regardless of genre. With a vast, dense, detailed low-fantasy world to explore, and an absurdly long plot that only climbs with each act, The Witcher 3 is an accomplishment.
Back in 2015, many, many reviewers (including our own) gave The Witcher 3 a perfect score. In our review, we stated that it “is a shining example of what RPGs should be: an experience that makes you believe that you’re truly part of a game’s world and that you have a very real stake in it.”
The Witcher 3 is one for the ages – it would be a travesty to not pick it up when it’s discounted from 49.99 to 14.99 USD. You can pick it up on the PlayStation Store.
