Kojima-san mentioned that Death Stranding is not a Stealth game. While you can move freely, it’s not an FPS either.

According to the veteran creator, the game is a totally new genre which he defines “action game/strand game(social strand system)”

Additionally, Kojima-san went on to mention that he’s aware that usually, the name of the genre isn’t made up by the creator, but he likes to name it as he did in the past, like when he called Metal Gear Solid Tactical Expionage Action before it was categorized as a stealth game.

As an additional bonus, the veteran creator will be supervising a voice acting session in Japan today.
