Local sales were suspended a while ago both physically and digitally due to a drug scandal involving actor Pierre Taki, who used to play the villain Kyohei Hamura.

While the western release of the game was not affected thanks to the prompt response of the developers, Japanese gamers who didn’t buy the game before stocks ran out have been waiting for official news, and today Sega delivered.

Judgment will return to the Japanese shelves on July 18 with a discounted price of 4,540 yen to sweeten the pill. Of course, it’ll feature the new character model for Kyohei Hamura.

The publisher also released a bunch of new trailers and the opening cutscene of Judgment, which you can see at the bottom of the post.

The Japanese re-release of Judgment will actually come after the launch in North America and Europe, which will happen on June 25. Of course, the platform for the west will also be PS4.
