Today, during a broadcast dedicated to Mortal Kombat 11, NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced another playable fighter.
The new character is Kollector, an ancient being that used to be a tribute collector for Shao Khan.
We also heard that gear has no stats in Mortal Kombat 11, and each character will launch with two variations for competitive gameplay. More variations for each character will be added after release for each character throughout the lifetime of the game. Additionally, the variations included with the beta are not those that will launch with the game.
The option for custom variations for ranked gameplay and tournament play is also being explored for the future, but at launch, they’ll be limited to Player Matches.
Gameplay-affecting augments are disabled in all online modes. On top of that, characters and gear won’t have any stats, unlike previous NetherRealm games.
