How to Get Brand Weapon in Outward

Recommended Videos

Outward is an expansive RPG experience that’s full of quests to complete and unique weapons to get your hands on. One of the most sought after is the Brand. Here’s everything you need to know about how to get the Brand weapon in Outward.

Getting the Brand is not a simple case of looting it from an enemy or buying it from a vendor. Instead, you need to craft it using particular items, some of which aren’t easy to get your hands on either.

Strange Rusted Sword in Outward

In the first few days after Outward fully released, players were coming across an item called Strange Rusted Sword, which seemed pretty useless, aside from the fact that anything that’s specifically called ‘Strange’ is usually actually important in a game like this.

As it turned out, the Strange Rusted Sword was a key component in the recipe for the Brand weapon and can only be found at a top of a mountain you go to during one of the game’s missions.

How to Craft the Brand Weapon

Once you’ve got the Strange Rusted Sword, you can go about finding the other items you need. The ingredients for the Brand weapon, where to get them, and how much they cost in Outward is below.

  • Chemist’s Broken Flask – Bought from Levant Alchemist Shop for 700s.
  • Mage’s Poking Stick – Bought from Monsoon Alchemist Shop for 375s.
  • Blacksmith’s Vintage Hammer – Bought from Berg Blacksmith Shop for 300s.
  • Strange Rusted Sword – Found at the top of the mountain in Cierzo.

Once you’ve added all those items on the crafting screen, you’ll have your new weapon. The description for the Brand sword in Outward reads, “Inflicts Chill and Pain on enemies, increasing the Frost and Physical damage they take.”
