Capcom’s Devil May Cry 5 has arrived on PS4, PC, and Xbox One, granting players the opportunity to slice and dice their way through countless enemies in super smooth, stylish gameplay. As such, you’ll likely want your Dante, V, and Nero looking their best. Here’s how to get alternate costumes in Devil May Cry 5.

Preorder Alternate Costumes

There are actually two ways you can get Devil May Cry 5 alternate costumes. The first is to have preordered the game. In doing so, you’ll receive a DLC code that can be redeemed in order to unlock the following costumes in the game.

  • EX Dante – Pays homage to DmC: Devil May Cry.
  • EX Nero – Based around the Order of the Sword.
  • EX Lady – Based on Trish.
  • EX Trish – Based on Gloria.

Simply redeem the DLC code as you would any other on your platform of choice, and then load up the game. These different color costumes in Devil May Cry 5 can then be selected just before you begin each mission.

That’s not all of the alternate costumes you can get your hands on, though. In fact, each character has a ‘Super’ alternate costume that can be obtained by playing the game. It’s not going to be easy, though.

How to Get ‘Super’ Alternate Costumes in Devil May Cry 5

The only unlockable costumes in the game must be earned by putting your skills to the test. Simply put, you’ll need to beat the game on ‘Dante Must Die’ difficulty. In doing so, you’ll unlock the ‘Super’ costume for each of the three characters in the game.

These costumes aren’t just for show, though. They’ll grant you Infinite Devil Trigger. This is all fun and games, and can definitely help you clear levels on a higher difficulty, but be warned. By using these ‘Super’ alternate costumes, you’ll automatically receive an 80% Rank decrease, making it impossible to earn an S-rank.
