How to Get Middling Synthesizer and What It’s For in Destiny 2
The Season of the Drifter has finally arrived in Destiny 2, and with it comes a whole slew of new Gambit challenges to tackle, along with new Pinnacle weapons to add to your collection. Here’s how to get the Middling Synthesizer and what it’s for in Destiny 2.
Getting the Middling Synthesizer
New in Season of the Drifter is the introduction of The Reckoning, where you can wager an item called a Synthesizer, and survive a gauntlet of enemies and bosses to receive a piece of gear. You’ll start out with a Weak Synthesizer, and the tier 2 versions of these items are called Middling Synthesizers.
These can be obtained as bounty rewards from the Drifter in Destiny 2. Just talk to the Drifter at the Tower, and then complete one of these higher tier bounties. Reading the description, you’ll see that the Middling Synthesizer is offered as a reward if it says you’re going to get a Synthesizer upgrade.
Simply complete the bounty, then claim your reward.
What It’s For in Destiny 2
At the time of writing, it looks like it’s only possible for players to use Weak Synthesizers in The Reckoning, allowing you to get a piece of low-level gear. If you try to use a Middling Synthesizer, the game won’t actually allow you to do so.
This is because their tier 2 stuff won’t actually be unlocked in Destiny 2 till this Friday, March 8.
Once it’s unlocked, you’ll be able to wager your Middling Synthesizer just like you would your Weak Synthesizer to get a better piece of gear.
At the moment, it’s possible to get a piece of tier 2 gear from the weekly Gambit challenge, but your chances of getting it are entirely based on RNG, so you’ll likely have better luck come Friday.
That’s all you need to know about how to get the Middling Synthesizer in Destiny 2 and how to use it. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on Season of the Drifter, or check out our Destiny 2 Forsaken wiki.
