Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Free Edition Gets a Release Date for PS4 and PC

Today Square Enix reached out with a press release to announce the release date of the Free Edition of the fighting game Dissidia Final Fantasy NT.

The game will be available for free on PS4 and PC via Steam rather soon, on March 12, meaning that fans only need to wait less than two weeks from today to get their hands on it.

You’ll be able to play for free with a limited roster that will rotate on a weekly basis. Individual characters and weapons will be purchasable separately if you want keep something permanently.

Online gameplay will be in common with the existing Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, but PlayStation Plus will be required on PS4 to access it.

Dissidia Final Fantasy originally launched all the way in 2015 in Japanese arcades, but fans had to way until last year to finally get their hands on the “NT” version on PS4.

Square Enix has been actively supporting the title with the release of stages and characters, including the recent launch of Snow Villiers from Final Fantasy XIII. It’ll be interesting to see if the free to play version will propel the addition of more.
