Fire Emblem: Three Houses

Today Koei Tecmo confirmed via press release that it’s taking part in the development of the upcoming Fire Emblem game Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

The announcement, signed by President Hisashi Koinuma, doesn’t mention in which capacity Koei Tecmo will co-develop the game, nor which team within the company has been working on it.

What it does say is that three companies are now working together on the game, Nintendo, Intelligent Systems, and Koei Tecmo.

This isn’t the first time that Koei Tecmo works on the Fire Emblem series. In 2017 both Omega Force and Team Ninja (which are two of KT’s most well-known development teams) developed Fire Emblem Warriors. The company is also currently at work on Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, which is also published by Nintendo.

Just a few days ago, we heard that the publisher intends to expand its business partnerships with other companies, and this is likely to be part of that plan.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses tells the story of a mercenary becoming a teacher at a military academy teaching the youth of three different nations, prompting the player to choose among the Black Eagles, the Blue Lions, and the Golden Deer.

It will be released on July 26, and recently we saw a brand new trailer that looked really good.
