Resident Evil 2 Launch Livestream Announced for January 22; New Details Promised

Today Capcom announced that a special launch livestream of the upcoming Resident Evil 2 remake will be aired from Japan on Jan. 22.

The livestream will broadcast an event that will be held at the Tokyo-to Chuo Ward Event Hall from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM Japan time.

During the event, we’ll be treated to new details, live gameplay, and a chat with the development team. On top of the development team, talent Moga Mogami will be there as a special guest.

The panel of developers will include Director Kazunori Kadoi, Director Yasuhiro Ampo, Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, and Producer Tsuyoshi Kanda.

Capcom is also looking for local fans who would like to attend in person. Applications can be done here until Jan 10. Attendees will receive a goodie bag with a package of tofu in collaboration with Otokomae Tofu, a USB wristband, a clear file, and two posters exclusive Biohazard Ambassador members.

Those selected will be contacted via email on Jan. 11.

If you want to see more of Resident Evil 2, you can take a look at the most recent gameplay showcasing the Noir DLC and filters, more gameplay from earlier this month, and a batch of screenshots and trailers focusing on Ada Wong and Tyrant.

Resident Evil 2 releases just a few days later for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on Jan. 25, 2019.
