The Switch is continuing to sell extremely well as the Holiday Shopping Battle (as analysts like to call it in Japan) enters its most active period, even if sales are essentially flat compared to the prior week according to Media Create’s report.

For a console past its prime, the PS4 managed to sell very solid quantities, actually growing week-on-week thanks to two new releases, God Eater 3 and Judgement, that manage to move roughly 150,000 units left and to push Pokemon Let’s Go down in fourth place.

Of course, that’s not nearly enough to beat the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate behemoth to the top, as Nintendo’s crossover game manages to fly past 1.5 million units sold-through to customers.

With the Switch well past six million units sold in Japan, it’s now just a little more than a million sales shy of the PS4 on the local market. It’ll be interesting to see Media Create’s total when the Holiday smoke clears in January.
